The Urge

Now before you get me wrong, the heading here is not profane meaning in nature, I have an urge to create things. I'm somewhat of an artist. Look, we can have this conversation about what an artist is, but I think I've won this argument by reason of twinsanity, as the word artist is synonymous with the word me. Because I am an artist. By defining my artwork as art I add a flavor to it, I add reality, I justify it's existence, It's meaning is awarded to it by those magical words "this is art". Even if it is bullshit, you cannot deny it's existence as art. As an online cultural entity we can democratize to select leaders of the world, but there is no democracy in determining what art really is. It has lost meaning as a useful tool to capture certain events and to set the memory of them in stone, not due to a lack of event but rather the speed at which they occur. The modern day tools we use such as our smart devices or computers will be lost in landfills rather than passed down and seen as antiques. Cultural memory exists in memetic weaponry that dissolves into thin air days after deployment. The issue here lies in the commidification of culture, an action most consumers haven't been given the chance to even vote on. It kind of just happened. Your DNA lies on the lid of a disposable plastic cup you drank during your meeting with your future sweetie, the acid from your saliva etches caveman style imprints into the plastic that last beyond the time in which you refer to the other as a sweetie. None of that matters anyway, you have drugs to do son. It's a family thing, you'll get it when you're older.

Hello stream of conciousness, I am dad =)

It has been a while since I last updated this site, and I am regretting the way in which I did so. I decided to murky the waters of this site with my philosophical opinions, which is cringe if I am being honest. However, I would rather these views be out so I can weed out the purity spiralers from the get-go rather than sometime down the line, since I will have posted these opinions elsewhere. To give a summary of my opinions to people who only read the blog section, In polite society I have opinions similar to a more socialy progressive coal miner from the 1920's who read some unaccredited passages written by Marx that was passed out during the last union meeting, ignoring polite society I'd probably be called a luddite with a psychedelic use issue. Both of those descriptions are cringe and I hate that I just typed that, however my delete and backspace button are broken, so sorry.

DMT, the cure we Forget

I just smoked DMT for the first time in months, it used to be a common weekly thing but slowly faded and was replaced with alcohol. Alcohol is great for sociable or comedic posting, but all of that is entertainment. Making something deeper than peripheral candy requires a portal to another world, man has to behold an eternities worth of information in order to be shocked into emotion. DMT is a drug, a drug I have used for quite some time. It was my third psychedelic I tried and it was my favorite, I stopped because I wanted pleasure, and a pleasured mind is scared of the irrational change those drugs bring. DMT has left a permanent mark on my perception, no drug before it did so. I am okay with that, it is kind of cool sometimes but unimportant overall. I don't believe in ghouls or demons or spirits, DMT made no change to that. I feel like to view it as capable of bringing you into another realm is just opening the door for a bad trip, as everything that happens within it you will believe to be real, including the occassional scare or feeling of death. My most memorable trip is when I had a full on 3D animated presentation of goblins telling me I suck and are a piece of shit and need to change, a pink moving square enviornment with blue graffiti like text, some kind of hispanic rap style beat happening in the background. There's another time in which I was doing it under the supervision of my wife, where I would look at her and the set were to change so to speak. It's like the cartoon trope where they change the animator every few moments which radically changes the scene and it's meaning. Crazy stuff DMT is.
